This Privacy Policy describes how Bhavishyavani.org ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website and services. We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, profile picture — collected via Google Sign-In.
• Report intake: date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, name, gender, question text, palm photographs (only for the AI Palmistry Report).
• Payment data: processed directly by Razorpay. We store only the transaction ID and status — never your card or UPI details.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited (for analytics and abuse prevention).

2. How we use your data

• To generate and deliver your personalized AI report.
• To email your PDF report and order confirmations.
• To provide customer support and process refunds.
• To improve report quality, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-party services (processors)

We work with the following processors — all bound by their own privacy policies:

• Razorpay — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Google — sign-in authentication.
• Bhavishyavani AI — hosted AI model used to generate report text.
• Emergent — hosting and secure object storage for palm photos and PDFs.

4. Data retention

Your account, orders and generated reports are retained for as long as your account is active. Palm photographs are retained for 90 days after the report is generated, then automatically deleted. You may request full deletion of your data at any time by writing to reports@bhavishyavani.org.

5. Your rights (under DPDP Act 2023)

• Right to access your personal data.
• Right to correction and erasure.
• Right to withdraw consent at any time.
• Right to grievance redressal.

6. Security

We use HTTPS, encrypted database connections, secure session cookies (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite), and server-side signature verification for all payments. Palm photographs are stored in a private object store accessible only via your authenticated session or admin.

7. Cookies

We use one essential cookie: session_token — required to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Children

Bhavishyavani is not directed at users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
